B. Baseball Evaluation Sessions for Grades 3-8 and Results
When/Where: Sunday, February 28, 2010, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Georgetown Prep Gym. (Evaluation sessions for Rookie (Grades 3-4) players are for the purpose of equalizing talent among the various teams.)
Players should bring a glove and wear gym shoes. Bats and balls will be provided. Players will not be permitted to use their own bats.
Players will perform various drills before independent evaluators and be placed on a team according to skill level and performance. Based upon these evaluations, preliminary rosters for the Varsity and Junior Varsity “A” teams will be created to reduce the number of “A” team candidates to a manageable number. Further “A” roster adjustments will be made after practice sessions the following week. All registered players not selected for preliminary or final “A” roster will be placed on an appropriate team.
Players who have committed to play are expected to honor that commitment regardless of the team on which they are placed.
FOR SAFETY REASONS, ONLY PLAYERS, COACHES, AND EVALUATORS WILL BE PERMITTED ON THE PLAYING SURFACE DURING EVALUATIONS. ANY PARENTS AND FAMILY MEMBERS WHO WISH TO OBSERVE EVALUATIONS MAY DO SO FROM THE STANDS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION IN THIS REGARD.
All team assignments are contingent on receipt by the St. Jane CYO of a completed on-line registration form and the correct fee.
Evaluation/Team Assignment Results Will Be E-Mailed or Posted on This Site.

The St. Jane de Chantal CYO again plans on sponsoring co-educational, intramural T-ball during Spring 2010! Games will be held on three Friday evenings -- May 14, May 21, and June 4 -- at DeChantal on the field to the side of the school. Emphasis will be on instruction, fun and a family atmosphere including hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, and sodas on sale (No need to cook dinner!). Uniforms will be provided.
To make this happen, volunteer help of all shapes and sizes will be needed, including coaches, coordinators, and cooks. Please step up to the plate and help to continue what has become a great DeChantal tradition!
All DeChantal parish and school children are welcome.
