I. Winter 2009-10 Basketball Registration and Fees
(Grades 3-8 and High School)
Fee: Grades 5-8 and High School -- $90
Grades 3-4 -- $80
If necessary (see below), complete the registration process on-line from home or work and mail the form/fee check to Paul Bollwerk, 9506 Kingsley Ave., Bethesda, MD 20814-1637, or turn in on Thursday, September 17, 2009, between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. on the lower level of the Multi-Purpose Building. (NOTE: This is the ONLY form/fee turn in session for CYO Winter Basketball.)
Those who registered for 2009 Fall Soccer or All-Sports DO NOT need to submit another on-line registration form. (See the Online Registration link to the left for complete details on completing the registration process.) Simply sent a check payable to DeChantal CYO for the fee (family checks are acceptable) and note on the memo line the name and grade of each player covered by the fee check.
A $25 late fee applies to any Grades 3-8 application not completed by Friday, October 16, 2009. $25 late fee applies to any High School application not completed by Friday, November 27, 2009.

II. Team Openings/Wait Lists
For registrations received after September 17, 2009, team placement is contingent on the St. Jane CYO having room on teams for additional players.
Effective Immediately, all Girls and Boys Rookie (Grades 3-4), Junior Varsity (Grades 5-6), and Varsity (Grades 7-8) teams are CLOSED. To get on a wait list, please send an e-mail containing the player's name and grade to bollwerk@erols.com. DO NOT send any registration/fee materials. You will be contacted for these items if an opening occurs.

Evaluation sessions held for Rookie players are for the purpose of equalizing talent among the various teams.
PARENTS/SIBLINGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE GYM WHILE GRADES 3-8 EVALUATIONS ARE BEING CONDUCTED. PLEASE PLAN ON DROPPING OFF/PICKING UP PLAYERS OR BE PREPARED TO REMAIN OUTSIDE THE BUILDING WHILE EVALUATIONS ARE BEING HELD.
Grades 5-8 Uniform Washing Instructions
To Protect and Extend the Life of the New Grades 5-8 Basketball Uniforms, Please Follow These Cleaning Instructions Every Time A Uniform is Washed:
1. Turn the Uniform Inside Out and Wash in Cold Water, Gentle Cycle.
2. DON'T USE FABRIC SOFTENER, as This Will Damage the Lettering.
3. To Dry the Uniform, Lay Flat or Hang. DON'T USE THE DRYER, as This Will Shorten the "Life" of the Uniform.
Failure to Return a Uniform OR Returning a Uniform That Has Been Damaged Through Improper Care Will Result in Forfeiting the Uniform Deposit.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING BASKETBALL PRACTICES AT THE ST. JANE MULTI-PURPOSE BUILDING
Both St. Jane Parish and School have requested that parents and coaches park and/or drop off players in the lower parking lot on the east side of the church and walk up to the gym. Cars should not be driven to the blacktop area in front of the Multi-Purpose Building to avoid any incidents given the relatively narrow area and the high pedestrian traffic.

2010 Basketball Clinic -- Grades 1 and 2
The St. Jane CYO will offer a series of weekend basketball clinics in February and early March 2010 for first and second grade boys and girls. Per a snowstorm-revised schedule, the clinics will be on Sundays, 2/14 and 2/21, and on Saturdays, 3/6 and 3/13, in the upper level of the Multi-Purpose Building (gym) from 11:00 a.m. to noon (1st Grade) and noon to 1:00 p.m. (2nd Grade). (There is no clinic the weekend of February 27-28, 2010, because of the St. Jane School Science Fair.)
Registration Fee is $30 per Player. Please Print/Complete/Sign the Registration Form Available Below and Return to with a check payable to DeChantal CYO to Mrs. Tehan at school or the first clinic session.
