The St. Jane CYO once again will sponsor a spring track program for all the children in St. Jane de Chantal Parish, Grades K-8 (no pre-K, please).
This year's program will have two components, and each runner can compete in either or both types of meets:
1. Mini-Meet Program - This is a continuation of the long-running St. Jane CYO program in which runners in Grades K-8 compete with 1 or 2 teams from other Montgomery County CYO programs (e.g., Our Lady of Lourdes) in 3 or 4 meets each lasting 2-3 hours on a weekday evening or weekend afternoon at locations in Montgomery County.
2. Archdiocesan CYO Program - In this program runners in Grades K-8 complete against those from other Archdiocese of Washington parish CYO programs in a series of meets held on consecutive Saturdays in April and May at different venues in Prince George’s County, the District of Columbia, or Montgomery County. (Participant time commitment per meet depends on number of events entered and the meet's event schedule.) Details regarding the dates of, and the track and field events available at, the Archdiocesan CYO meets can be found under the Track and Field link at www.washcyo.com.
TO REGISTER FOR THE SPRING TRACK PROGRAM: THIS YEAR’S PROGRAM WILL AGAIN USE THE ARCHDIOCESAN CYO ON-LINE REGISTRATION SYSTEM FOR ALL GRADES 1-8 REGISTRANTS. KINDERGARTEN RUNNERS SHOULD REGISTER USING THE REGISTRATION FORM FOUND AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE. PLEASE FIND AND FOLLOW THE APPLICABLE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:
1. PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED FOR CYO GRADES 1-8 FALL 2009 SOCCER , GRADES 3-8 WINTER 2009-10BASKETBALL, OR GRADES 3-8 SPRING 2010 BOYS BASEBALL? To register for track, submit the registration fee to the St. Jane CYO at a form/fee turn-in session or by mail (see paragraph 4 below). You do not need to submit another on-line registration form, but please make sure each registrant’s name, grade, and sport(s) are included on the fee check memo line or in a separate note. (Note: All-Sports Registration DOES NOT include Track.)
2. ALREADY IN THE ON-LINE REGISTRATION SYSTEM BUT NOT REGISTERED FOR CYO GRADES 1-8 FALL 2009 SOCCER, GRADES 3-8 WINTER 2009-10 BASKETBALL, OR GRADES 3-8 SPRING 2010 BOYS BASEBALL? Using the player’s assigned Username/Password, go into the on-line system (www.washcyosignup.com), access the player’s registration information (each player has an individual account), and enter the player’s 2009-10 school term grade, as well as any other update information (e.g., accept Spectator’s Ethics Code; change in home or e-mail address). At the end of the process, the players’s parent/guardian should print/date/sign the on-line registration form and submit to the St. Jane CYO with the appropriate fee (see paragraph 4 below).
Can’t find a child’s Username/Password? Go to www.washcyosignup.com/forgotPassword.cfm. Please DO NOT create an additional account for the same child or use the account created for another child (which overwrites that child’s information, effectively removing him/her from the system.)
3. CURRENTLY NOT IN THE ON-LINE REGISTRATION SYSTEM? Go to www.washcyosignup.com and follow the instructions for obtaining a username/password and completing the on-line registration process. At the end of the process, the player’s parent/guardian should print/date/sign the on-line registration form and submit the form to the St. Jane CYO with the appropriate fee (see paragraph 4 below).
4. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR KINDERGARTEN REGISTRANTS: Use the Registration Form found at the bottom of this page rather than the CYO on-line registration system. NOTE: The form is ONLY for Kindergarten Runners!
5. HOW DO I GET AN ON-LINE REGISTRATION FORM AND/OR FEE PAYMENT TO THE ST. JANE CYO? Return the on-line "summary information" form (which has the headings "CYO On-Line Registration 2009-10 Program Year" and "Your Registration is Complete!")/Kindergarten registration form and/or the appropriate fee to the St. Jane CYO either(1) at the Form/Fee Turn-in Session on Thursday, January 7, 2010, between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Building; or (2) by mail to Paul Bollwerk, 9506 Kingsley Ave., Bethesda, MD 20814-1637. (Inclement Weather Note: If the Montgomery County schools cancel evening activities on January 7, 2010, the CYO form turn-in session will not be held that evening.) DO NOT Send Registration Forms/Fee Checks to St. Jane School or Rectory or give to a CYO Board member/team coach.

Checks should be made payable to "DeChantal CYO" and multi-runner/family checks are acceptable. Checks can combine Spring Baseball/Softball/Soccer/Track registration fees, but please include player names, grades, and sports on the check memo line or in a separate note.

First Practice: Monday, March 1, 2010, 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., Georgetown Prep
Subsequent Practices: Mondays and Thursdays, 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Georgetown Prep (Inclement Weather Policy: Georgetown Prep follows Montgomery County schools closure decisions, so that if evening activities are canceled at Montgomery County schools, Georgetown Prep facilities will be closed.) No practices on Monday and Thursday, April 5 and 8, but Georgetown Prep facility will be available for Open Track use.
